Carol Jacobs mentored me through leaving an abusive marriage. She ministered to me and encouraged me in so many ways! Forever grateful for her.

Carol Jacobs was our band director at Mortimer Jordan High School while I was the assistant principal. She is a leader who is tenacious, organized, and one who strived to bring the best out in her students. She didn’t just give the talk; she walked the walk. She is an asset to each and every endeavor she undertakes.

Carol Jacobs was my Sunday school teacher. She has helped me so much in my Christian walk of life. She is very knowledgeable about the advice she gives. She will not give you advice, if it does not line up with the word of God. Straight up very good person. Honest and strong in her beliefs.

I have known Carol Jacobs for around twenty years. She is definitely a woman of integrity and has a heart for encouraging others. I have been blessed to sit under her as a teacher and I have attended one of her conferences and heard her teach. She is one that will encourage you and help you in any she can. She will help you to see the potential of who you are and that you are an overcomer and that you can reach those goals that are in you.

My husband and I met Mrs. Jacobs almost 20 years ago, when we were volunteers/chaperones for the Mortimer Jordan Blue Machine Marching Band.
Mrs. Jacobs made a tremendous impact on her students and their parents and cultivated lifelong friendships with many. Balancing her many roles as teacher, counselor and mentor, she commanded the full attention and participation of her students and motivated them to seek perfection. She taught life skills that, ten years later, our adult children still carry with them.
Mrs. Jacobs can be a tough disciplinarian, but in a way that demands the students’ respect. Because of her excellent teaching skills and motivation she brought a struggling band program to a “Best in Class” level. The students became invested in the program and put forth that extra effort, all because of Mrs. Jacobs and her positive influence. Work with her just once and you will know she is “all in” for you and will be in your corner as long as you put forth effort.
On a personal note, Carol has a beautiful caring heart with a devout faith that enables her to help others above her own needs. She has become a lifelong friend to us and our whole family is better for knowing her!

I have known Carol for about 16 years and first met her when I was having my firstborn!!! In the next four years, I would have 2 more kids with a miscarriage in between, so my hormones were crazy. In that time of need when I felt I would never come out of the anxiety or sadness, Carol was there. Carol met with me every week to teach me certain principles that I still apply to my life today. I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago and the words of encouragement that she would send to my husband to help him get through the tough times or when I felt all Hope seemed lost Carol would send me a reminder. I appreciate everything that she has poured into me because I still use those principles today. .

I served as a volunteer with Carol Jacobs for the three years she directed our local high school band. During that time I saw her turn the music program around. She utilized out of the box thinking to initiate private lessons with local music teachers at the school at a price that was about half of what it would have cost her students if they had traveled to other venues to receive similar instruction. As a result, the quality of the band performances had improved to the point that the band was receiving standing ovations, and the student body began regarding band membership as “cool.”
The level of band discipline also improved markedly, mainly due to Ms. Jacobs’ passion for nothing less than excellence. However, I saw her adjust her approach to meet the needs of whatever situation she encountered. On the practice field, she could fill the “drill sergeant” role; when a softer approach was needed,, I saw her move into her “mother hen” persona with aplomb.
Because of her excellence in leading her band and managing her interpersonal contacts, she quickly became a beloved, respected leader, not only with her students and band parents, but throughout the entire school and local community.
Ms. Jacobs’ Christian values permeated all her actions and decisions. Despite her immense popularity, nothing I ever saw her do was about herself. Instead, it was always about the welfare and improvement of her students. I count it a privilege to have been associated with her.

I have had the wonderful privilege of knowing Carol Jacobs since 2003. Carol and I have served in different volunteer capacities on several committees. She has also coached and mentored me extensively about doing things with excellence; instead of being in such a hurry to see results! Carol is a natural-born leader who leads authoritatively; whilst still being servant-like and caring in her approach.
She also supported my volunteer cause as a regular contributor in my life both with enthusiasm and very wise advice!! If you are considering using Carol Jacobs’ services; I can assure you that you will be more than satisfied with the results you will receive!

Mrs. Jacobs, lovingly called “Mrs. J” by my friends and I, was my high school band director for two short, but memorable years. What I most remember about Mrs. J is that she understood the capabilities and needs of her students as individuals as well as a collective group. She knew how to motivate and inspire us as individuals so that we would better ourselves academically and personally. In turn, this had a huge impact on what our band was able to accomplish. She pushed us beyond what we thought we were able to do and helped us see that anything worth having takes time, perseverance, and a “can-do” attitude.
Inspired by Mrs. J’s loving-kindness and her impact on me as a young person, I graduated college and became an educator. As I meet my new students each year, I think about Mrs. J and hope that I can not only effectively teach my students, but also have a lasting positive impact on each individual student who walks through my door. It is my hope that I can continue the legacy of inspiring young people on their educational endeavors and personal goals just as Mrs. J did for me.

Carol is my mom, friend, mentor, supporter, and much more. I’m a nurse practitioner and from my formative years through college and graduate school , she was a huge asset to me. Without her constant counseling and words of wisdom, I truly don’t think I would have completed my education. During nursing school I experienced the loss of my first born child and she was there for me through every stage of my grief. She has also been there for me through positive transitions in my life from marriage, childbirth, and job changes. She has constantly prayed with me, given me scripture to meditate on, given me books and journals and resources to help me through my situations. With all the support and help she has provided, it has taught me how to support others in my life. I would recommend her to anyone for support, counseling or just a listening ear.

I have known Carol for almost 3 years now. Since I’ve known her, she has helped me with familial and spiritual advice on numerous occasions. She always has wonderful advice and when she gives this advice, she always has scripture to back up what she’s said. I am so thankful to have her in my life and would tell anyone that I love that if they need anything, she’s the one to talk to. Thank you Carol!
